The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships is one of the world’s oldest tennis tournaments and one of four ‘Grand Slams’ professional championships each year. Taking place over two weeks during June-July at All England Club in south west London this legendary tournament attracts thousands spectators both locally & internationally who travel to witness this prestigious event which has become so emblematic with British culture. Games are played on outdoor grass courts & numerous singles & doubles events are contested by male & female players alike where they compete to win ‘the coveted trophy’-the Wimbledon Cup!
