Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual celebration of the achievements and history of people from African and Caribbean descent. Every October, Londoners gather in cities across the country to commemorate Black History Month by attending a variety of events including art shows, exhibitions, walking tours, music performances, debates, workshops and more. This year’s festivities will include talks on black cultural identities and histories; panel discussions about race relations in the UK; open mic nights featuring hip-hop and spoken word artists; film screenings exploring black identity; and much more.
