Job Overview

We’re looking for a budding content writer with boundless creativity and impeccable attention to detail to join our busy marketing team. You’ll understand the nuances of the English language and how to engage discerning audiences with writing that’s always on-brand, across a range of media from websites to blogs and social media posts. Working within a defined house style, you’ll play a key role in communicating a coherent brand message for one of the UK’s fastest growing independent hotel groups. Familiarity with the hospitality industry and/or the luxury sector is an advantage. The ability to multi-task is essential.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create content marketing campaigns to drive leads and subscribers Use SEO best practices to generate traffic to our site
  • Regularly produce various content types, including mailshots, social media posts, blogs and website content
  • Proofread content produced by other members of the team
  • Analyse content marketing metrics and makes changes as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to create innovative content ideas
  • Be involved in all creative marketing campaigns
  • Develop creative, innovative content for social media posts which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages
  • Produce on-brand content for online and offline channels, including (but not limited to) websites, email marketing activities, and sales and marketing collateral
  • Actively work on the brand blogs and blog posts by pitching new ideas relevant to our audiences and appropriate for the season and the product
  • Adhere to company policies and brand style

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an excellent grasp of the English language
  • An understanding of branding and the importance of a coherent and consistent brand experience
  • Incredible attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in creative writing, journalism or English is ideal
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Google Docs
  • Working knowledge of image editing, lay outing software, artwork creation and video production
  • Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO
  • Proofreading and editing skills
