EFG London Jazz Festival (16-25 November)
The EFG London Jazz Festival is one of the most awaited and anticipated events for jazz lovers in the city. It features a dazzling fiesta of jazz performances, concert and live gigs at venues all across the city. Some of the biggest names in jazz music participate – along with new and upcoming talent. Spread over 10 days, the events are eclectic in nature from intimate solo performances to large-scale concerts.
There will be live gigs at some of the best venues in the city like Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Wigmore Halle and at smaller venues like Omnibus Theatre and the Purcell Room.
Ever since it began in 1992, the festival has attracted big names like the Robert Gasper, The Gipsy Kings, Wayne Shorter, the Blues Orchestra and Jools Holland Rhythm etc. Famous composers have made special compositions for the event of the likes of Randy Weston, George Russell and Gerald Wilson etc.
