Where to go for a morning run while staying at the Montcalm

As the weather begins to warm up, more locals and tourists will be venturing outside to soak up the sunshine and stay fit. There are plenty of great spots around the city that are perfect for a morning run.

Make the most of your time at the Montcalm Hotel London and wake up early for a scenic jog around the city. This is a great way to stay fit while making the most of the spring weather and seeing more of London. Here are some great spots where you can stretch your legs and wake yourself up.

Hyde Park

London

This may seem like an obvious place for a run but there’s a reason why so many people make their way to Hyde Park every morning. It is the city’s most famous greenery and has plenty of space for you to run around and get your heart beating. As you make your way around the grounds, you’ll find plenty of open spaces as well as hidden pathways that snake through trees and bushes. There are also plenty of statues and memorials to find along the way.

St James’s Park

London

Although this park is one of the city’s smaller greeneries, it has a lot to offer when it comes to scenery. It is known for being the back garden of Buckingham Palace and features some of the most beautiful floral displays in all of London. If you’re hoping to make the most of the good weather, this is definitely a good place to do it as the sun comes up. Also, the park is right around the corner from Trafalgar Square which is the starting location of the Harry Potter London walking tour.

South Bank

London

There’s no better way to wake yourself up than with a jog alongside the mighty River Thames as the sun begins to peak over the city’s horizon. South Bank offers a long stretch alongside the water’s edge and is a great place to see some of London’s most iconic landmarks. Head up towards the iconic Southbank Centre and along the way, you’ll see Big Ben, Westminster Palace and the London Eye.

Mayfair

London

Despite being one of the busiest cities in the world, London is also home to a number of quiet residential areas such as Mayfair where you can escape the bustle of the city and appreciate the beauty of the historic architecture. Make your way to the heart of Mayfair and take a jog through the quaint streets and get your day off to a great start.

Regent’s Park

London

Although there are already two other parks on this list, it wouldn’t be fair to leave out this gorgeous greenery. Regent’s Park is one of the largest in London and is a great place to start your day. You will find open spaces and great views in addition to some of London’s most popular attractions such as Madame Tussauds and the London Zoo.
