Three Different Ways You Can See London

Sightseeing in London is always a delight. There’s so much history, art and culture about the capital that it can seem like there’s never enough time to cover everything.

And that’s where a tour that covers all the essential sights can be a blessing. But sometimes you want to do something a little different – to see the sights from a different, unique angle. If this sounds like you, then read on for three different ways to see and explore London during your stay at the Montcalm Finsbury Square.

From the Thames

The Thames is, undoubtedly, one of the most famous rivers in the world. It cuts right through the middle of London, and so it makes for the perfect vantage point from which to see many of the capital’s most famous sights.

Thames River Services have offered a range of different tour options for years, and they are a trusted and well-known service. The best option for first-time visitors to London is probably the sightseeing tour, as it covers most of the famous points of interest and enables you to hop off and back on when you want to.

So, if you want a closer look at the Tower of London, for example, you can just depart and then jump on another service – all covered by your ticket. Staying at your Montcalm Hotel, you’re ideally placed to get to the service’s various departure points.

A Thames cruise makes for a wonderful way to see the capital, and it’s a relaxing experience to boot.

In a Horse and Carriage

If you want a truly unique experience that still gives you great insight into the sights and sounds of London, a horse-drawn carriage is the way to do it.

Offering a range of options – including your choice of pick up point – Westways Carriage Horses have been transporting families, couples and the well-to-do about London for years. The tour covers many famous sights about the capital, but also includes a trip through a Royal Park of your choice, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral and Big Ben.

At the end of the trip, you’ll be dropped off at Harrods for a spot of retail and can reflect on a truly special, memorable tour of London. And you won’t be far from the Montcalm Finsbury Square, so you don’t have far to go from Harrods.

By Rickshaw

Rickshaws have grown massively in popularity in London is the last half-decade or so, and they offer a different, environmentally sounds way of seeing the capital. With pick up and drop off points around the capital, you don’t have far to go from your Montcalm hotel to enjoy this unique experience.

London Rickshaws has a range of tours for you to choose from, with your trusty driver navigating their way to many of London’s major sights. For those who are new to the capital, the ‘Top 10 London Sightseeing Destinations’ is probably the way to go, but there are other tours covering the West End, restaurants and even a Jack the Ripper tour.

It’s a wonderful way to get around London and unlike any other tour option out there.
