One of the world’s biggest music acts has announced plans to go on arena tour in the UK, following a series of low-key events in London.
Prince is still among the most recognisable names in the pop industry, even though his fame peaked more than two decades ago.
He recently performed a series of intimate gigs in London and it has now been decided that he ought to take his unique talents around the rest of the country.
Much to the excitement of his legion of fans, Prince has confirmed that he will play shows in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow.
The upcoming tour marks his first big UK show since he performed a number of times at the O2 Arena in London in 2007.
But if you’ve already seen Prince in action this year and the thought of forking out more money to see him live doesn’t appeal, then you needn’t fret. There are loads of top acts set to appear at the O2 Arena this year, including the likes of Katy Perry and Dolly Parton, both of whom rank among the top names in the music industry.
And the opportunity to see them live in one of the world’s top indoor venues is not one to be passed up.
Elsewhere, John Mayer is playing a one-off show in June, where he is sure to perform in front of a frenzied audience. The Grammy-winning artist is known for being a great live performer and this promises to be a show to remember.
For something completely different, however, you may well fancy the option of heading to the O2 Arena to enjoy some stand-up comedy, or another type of live event.
The O2 can easily be reached from the Montcalm Hotel in central London using the London underground network.
