See a festival in London this summer

London is a city with a rich history of music entertainment and every night of the week you’re sure to find some great live entertainment on offer.

Whether you’re keen to enjoy big name acts at huge venues, or something a little more intimate, you won’t be disappointed by what the capital has to offer.

But rather than attending a one-off gig, you may instead prefer the option of heading to a festival – and there are plenty of great events planned this summer.

Here’s a brief guide to some of the best of these…

Barclaycard British Summer Time at Hyde Park

Spanning four days, the Summer Time event is sure to be one of the biggest and best events staged in the capital this summer.

The show features a huge number of notable acts, including Black Sabbath, McBusted and Little Mix, the winners of the X Factor show.

And the eclectic mix of styles means that regardless of your personal taste, there’s every chance that you will come across an act that will get you moving.

Field Day Festival at Victoria Park

This is the eight edition of the Field Day Festival and it promises to be the best event yet, with the show boasting an amazing line-up.

Among the top acts set to feature at the show are Pixies, The Horrors, SBTRKT and Simian Mobile Disco.

Lovebox at Victoria Park

Another event staged in east London, this is another of the capital’s best-loved festivals and is well worth seeing if you’re a hip-hop fan, with rap queen M.I.A. set to headline the event.

What’s more, the likes of A$AP Rocky, Banks, Ben Pearce, Bondax, Bonobo, and Chase & Status, among others, will also be performing.

Victoria Park is within reachable distance from the Montcalm Hotel using the London transport network.
