On the north side of Whitechapel, you can find one of London’s most underrated and often overlooked art houses. Royal Academy of Arts
This privately funded art institute has been responsible for hosting some of this year’s biggest and most impressive exhibitions. The autumn season will follow suit with a lineup of events that you won’t want to miss. The beautiful building is a work of art in itself and the numerous exhibition halls and galleries within hold an enviable collection of works by some of the world’s most renowned creatives. The many upcoming events at the Royal Academy of Arts includes work by Jasper Johns.
Silk Street, London
Whether you’re looking for classical art or modern installations, the Barbican Centre has something for everyone this autumn. For decades the iconic institution has been a hub of creativity and has served as a cultural beacon in London’s art industry. Many unknown artists and performers have managed to find fame by making a name for themselves at the Barbican and this season you can see why it has become such a popular destination. Not only are there art exhibitions at the Barbican, you can also find all sorts of shows, performances and interactive events to enjoy.
