And that’s why we’ve put together this handy guide to help you make your way from M By Montcalm London Shoreditch Tech City to the venerable cathedral.

On Foot

St Paul’s is about a 25-minute walk from M By Montcalm London Shoreditch Tech City, and the journey is worth taking because you’ll pass some local, lesser-known landmarks on the way.

Upon leaving the hotel, turn left onto City Road. This route will take you all the way down past Old Street Tube Station, and that’s how you know you’re on the right track. From here you need to continue south and past Bunhill Fields. This is one of those local landmarks mentioned above – and here you can find the resting places of famous London citizens like Daniel Defoe and John Bunyan.

Keep heading along City Road, passing Finsbury Square Garden, and City Road will morph into Finsbury Pavement. Keep on this same route, and you’ll soon find yourself on Moorgate. Take a right onto London Wall as you pass Finsbury Circus Gardens – another local sight – and follow it all the way down until you reach Noble Street. As you turn onto Noble Street, you’ll find the Roman ruins of London’s ancient past on your right.

Once you reach the Churchyard of Saint John Zachary, you need to cross the road onto Foster Lane. Follow Foster Lane all the way down to Cheapside, make a right and you’ll see St Paul’s coming into view. Then all you need to do is cross over the New Change, and you’ve arrived at your destination! And, once you finish at St Paul’s, you only a short journey from The Montcalm Restaurant for a little refuelling.

By Tube

Getting to St Paul’s from M By Montcalm Shoreditch London Tech City via Tube is easy and straightforward. Staying at the best hotel in London, you’re in a prime position to see one of London’s most famous landmarks up close and personal and there’s no reason not to make the short journey.

All you need to do is walk about five minutes to Old Street Station – Stop D – and take the Central Line to St. Paul’s Underground Station. The journey takes about 17-minutes in total, calling at eight other stops along the way.

Once you arrive at St. Paul’s Station, you only need to walk about a minute to reach the cathedral itself. It’s a simple, straightforward journey, and there’s no risk of getting lost on the underground.
