Fans of fine dining may soon be making their way to luxury London hotels to catch the end of the Foodies Festival at Battersea Park.
Mouth-watering British produce will be on hand for tastings, while visitors can meet top chefs and cook up a storm.
Similar events take place across the UK, with each festival attracting up to 25,000 hungry visitors.
“Foodies Festival is a must for food lovers, with the chance to sample fine foods, sip delicious drinks and buy seasonal and locally-produced produce from more than 100 exhibitors,” commented the organisers.
This year’s event features the brand new Great Taste Market from the Guild of Fine Foods, which offers up products that have won the Great Taste Award in the last three years.
Furthermore, the event will feature live music and hands-on activities where attendees can pick up creative cooking skills.
A number of London’s top chefs will attend the event, including Modern Pantry’s Anna Hansen, Omar Allibhoy from El Pirata, the Pearl’s Jun Tanaka, Gary Lee from The Ivy, J Sheeky’s Richard Kirckwood and Phil Usher of Le Caprice.
Food and drinks masterclass theatres will be staged to provide hands-on tastings with tutoring from experts to help refine a sophisticated palate.
Michelin-starred chefs will cook up their favourite dishes live in the Chef’s Theatre, passing on hints, tips and inspirational recipes.
Kids can take part in the Young Cooks Masterclass, with top chefs teaching little ones cooking basics that will serve them well throughout their lives.
Top restaurants will set up tents along the park, offering taster portions of their signature dishes, giving attendees the chance to sample all their favourite chefs in one day.
