Musical events in london

When people think of London, they tend to think of the famous landmarks like Big Ben, St Paul’s and Westminster. But that’s not all the capital has to offer.

London also has a range of super-sized venues regularly playing host to the best in music, which means you can find great live performances whatever the time of the year and whatever your musical tastes. And you’re in the perfect spot to see them all from The Montcalm Royal London House.

With this in mind, we’ve drawn up a few of the biggest, best musical acts coming to the capital this month.

Spiritualized

Any music fans with an ear for nineties and noughties subversive space rock and dance will know Spiritualized.

Formed by Jason Pierce – of ‘Spacemen 3’ fame – Spiritualized has spent decades now ploughing their own, unique furrow of spacey, danceable tunes. Playing at the Hammersmith Apollo on September the 21st, the show will no doubt be a riot of their biggest hits, crowd favourites and unique stage presence.

Spiritualized don’t do things live the way other bands do, bringing their own staging sensibilities and wants to every show. What that means is a unique experience and a concert you won’t soon forget. And, staying at Montcalm’s luxury hotels in London City Centre, it’s only a short trip to the venue.

Jason Derulo

When it comes to achievements, Jason Derulo has a few under his belt. The American producer, singer and songwriter has sold more than 30 million singles worldwide and has, very impressively, released eleven singles that have gone platinum.

What all this means is that Derulo’s songs are very listenable and very popular. He’s bringing his entire back catalogue to the SEE Arena, Wembley on September the 28th and the show will no doubt be a kaleidoscope of great songs and amazing stage presence. Derulo brings a Michael Jackson-esque approach to his shows, ensuring that every detail creates an unforgettable crowd experience. You can expect fantastic light shows, show-stopping dance and, at the heart of all, tunes that will have you up and dancing before you know what’s happening. It’ll take you about 20-minutes to the venue from The Montcalm Royal London House, so there’s no reason to miss out.

Kylie Minogue

On September the 26th, 27th and 28th, Kylie Minogue will be rocking up to the O2 Arena for a mini-residency, and the show promises to be breath-taking. Only a short hop from Montcalm’s luxury hotels in London City centre, it’s a must-see show.

Minogue takes her live cues from pop luminaries like Madonna, which means vast numbers of dancers, costume change, light shows, pyrotechnics and everything else that fans expect. And, on top of all the spectacle, Kylie has the ear-bug hits to back it all up.

The great thing about Minogue’s shows is that she takes a full-on approach to performing, never tiring and only bringing the show to a close when her audience is thoroughly happy, screaming her name and exhausted. It’s the perfect show for pop lovers and a great night out even if Kylie Minogue is on your regular playlist.
